Power Control Center

Power Control Centers are being designed and manufactured upto 4000A rating, suitable for operational Voltage of 415V in a 3 phase 4 wire distribution system with an insulation voltage upto 660V at an ambient Temperature of 40 degree Celsius. The form of separation as IS 8623 is FORM IV. Short circuit withstand capacity is 50 kA and degree of protection IP:52, both of these parameters are type tested. The switchboards offered are in Fixed and semi draw-out type configuration with single front design.

Cable Alley
• The CBC is accessible from the rear of the panel.
• It is completely isolated form the busbar zone and the ACB compartments.
• There is adequate space for termination of aluminium cables.
• Both TOP or BOTTOM cable entries are possible. The wide cable alley facilitates termination of a large number of cables.
• The shrouded link work ensures complete safety in the cable alley. The link arrangements are specially designed for multi-tier configurations
• To check on unauthorised access to the cable alley a special key is required for opening the cable alley door.

Busbar System
Interleaved Busbar System
Only L&T offers the unique and innovative interleaved busbar system.
Concept
In the conventional busbar system, conductors of each phase are grouped together. At higher current ratings in each phase, more than one flat of busbars are used. These flats are placed quite close to each other. As a result of the skin effect and proximity effect , current distribution in each flat of the same phase is uneven. It also results in unequal temperature rise in different phases.
At higher currents increase in cross-sectional area of conductors does not yield proportionate increase in the current carrying capacity of the busbars. The interleaved busbar system offers a cost effective solution.
